Description
All seems calm in the Stone County Sheriff’s Department until a body is found in the Broken River. Then a woman goes missing in Creekside, and a deranged killer descends on Stoneybrook in search of missing gold. Now Sheriff Wyatt Stone and his deputies find their resources stretched thin. As a heat wave engulfs Stoneybrook, Harley Harper struggles to care for her animals, including a blind horse and her seeing-eye donkey. She’s also preparing for a wedding in her old barn. Amidst the chaos, Harley finds herself questioning her friendship with her best friend, Busy, who’s been ghosting her. And to complicate things further, Harley finds herself warding off the advances of a determined suitor intent on wooing her away from her handsome sheriff.
